International Financial Services (IFS) Apprenticeships
Minister for Education and Skills, Richard Bruton, formally launched the apprenticeships on Friday 29th September in National College of Ireland. The apprenticeships have been designed and developed by FSI, NCI and representatives from FSI member companies. IFS Apprenticeships allow candidates to earn while they learn and bring employers new and valuable resources and skills to their organisations. The two IFS Apprenticeships are nationally recognised qualifications are:
- IFS Associate which is aimed at entry level apprentices and embeds a Higher Certificate in International Financial Services at Level 6 on the National Framework of Qualifications
- IFS Specialist which is aimed at career changers and returns and embeds a Higher Diploma in Financial Services Analytics at Level 8 on the National Framework of Qualifications
FSI member companies participating include State Street, Citi, AIB, Bank of Ireland, Ulster Bank, Aon, Fenergo, Fidelity International and Allianz Ireland . These organisations have embraced these new apprenticeships as an alternative recruitment and retention pipeline for talent for their organisations. More companies will participate and recruit apprentices as this initiative is available nationally in 2018 in IFS locations in Dublin, Cork and Limerick.
