2016 Software Industry Awards Winners:



Movidius was named the Digital Technology Company of the Year 2016. Movidius, an Irish machine-vision chip maker whose technology gives sight to smart devices, is powering artificial intelligence (AI) in cutting-edge virtual reality (VR) and drone applications by companies like Google, DJI, FLIR, and Lenovo. Movidius, which was co-founded by SeŠn Mitchell and David Moloney in 2005, employs 180 staff across its global operations. Earlier this year the company announced plans to create further 100 jobs in Dublin.

Company of the Year went to Openet, which has launched a new platform that re-defines the rules for real time transaction management for mobile operators. Openet has had revenue growth in excess of 30% and is about to reach the 1000 employee mark, including significant employment growth in Ireland

Company of the Year went to The Now Factory, which employs 120 people in Dublin, the US and Singapore. Founded in 2006, The Now Factory has already achieved significant market success for its innovative business intelligence solutions for mobile-communications service providers across the globe.
